Medieval Festival (2018)
Suspended between history and legend, the deeds of Ghino di Tacco, "brigand gentleman" who twice occupied the Radicofani Castle becoming lord and from up there lording the surrounding area and in particular on the underlying Francigena, have always met considerable interest also in the most important authors of our literature, who were his contemporaries, like Dante, or immediate posterity, like Giovanni Boccaccio.
This album collects images of some of the most significant moments of this "medieval festival". The episode of the return of the abbot of Cluny was recalled with the representation of the clash between the troops of the Papal State, who came to Radicofani to order the return of the abbot, with Ghino di Tacco, by Compagnia D'Arme "Santaccio" di Chiusi and the perugine "Compagnia del Grifoncello".

Fortress of Radicofani and Proloco of Radicofani are pleased to present the 2nd edition of the
"Medieval Festival: La Rocca di Ghino di Tacco"
The event will be held on August 5th 2018, inside the Radicofani Fortress Park.
We have organized for you a program full of activities and shows for all ages, which will keep you company for the entire day we spend together.
PROGRAM
10:00 am - Opening of the park and military camp ⚔️
12:00 - Opening of food stands
1:00 pm - The Ghibellino Banquet (by reservation)
4.30 pm - Historical re-enactment "La presa della Fortezza" ⚔️
5.30 pm - Final of the Triangular archery: "Il Palio dei Castelli"
7.00 pm - Great Show in the Arena of Horses: High School Show Equestrian accompanied by the challenge of medieval knights in single combat 🐎
8.00 pm - Opening of food stands
9.00 pm - Grand Finale in the military camp: show of arms, fire show, juggling and music

The Banquet on reservation will be served during the lunch of the medieval festival of August 5 "La Rocca di Ghino di Tacco". Inside the fortress premises, under the tower and with animation.
Cost 22 euro including admission to the medieval festival.

At 7:00 pm a show not to be missed by high school equestrian, presented by the master David Jimenez Romero, Figures of High School of Riding and the medieval knights in challenge to single combat... 🐎⚔️🏰
